On Wednesday, the 3rd of July 2013, the three best students of each English class had the chance to visit the “Language-Farm in Freienorla” and to experience a closer view on the English language. Every participant was able to choose between different countries, workshops and sports. There were five native English-speaking guides from Australia, the USA, Canada, Northern Ireland and Great Britain. After the guides had shown us the farm, each of them gave a short presentation of his country and the students could ask questions and have a chat with the native speakers.  Later on there was a short break and after that the workshops started. The pupils had great fun with drawing, singing, wood carving etc. Another important part of culture is surely sports, especially rugby, baseball and cricket, which are typical for the different nations. The attendees were really excited, fervent and enthusiastic. In the end each workshop group presented their projects to the others.

After all it was a great experience and a good possibility to test yourself in using the English language and to get into touch with interesting, humorous and terribly nice people.

2012 – Highland Games in Gorndorf

Highland Games in Gorndorf.
